work in continuous progress, started in 1996
the first public performance of In Circles happened on October 18th, 1997 at Eden's Expressway in New York City. it marked the beginning of Reàl Dance Company under this name: in an open score the dancer(s) explore(s) repetition of movements, in relation to personal life, creating ever changing and intersecting circles ...
since this first presentation in New York, the dance has been performed as a signature work of Thomas Körtvélyessy, among others as a trio in Rotterdam (1998) and a duet in Arnhem (2004)
for the 20-year anniversary of the Company, the work is was revisited as a solo.
the resulting performance was presented on October 22nd, 2017 at Dansateliers Rotterdam and via live-stream
the project was made possible by a generous studio-grant of SKVR Dansschool, and by aisthesis (stg. in oprichting) and through a crowdfunding call co-sponsored by Kinetic Awareness® Center
